Common items in first aid kits and how to use themBandage

Triangle bandage
Used to make a tourniquet to stop bleeding; has a strap in case of broken arms, shoulders, or other fractures etc.
H-shaped Band-Aid
Used to stop minor bleeding or protect damaged skin on fingers, toes, or other areas if needed.
Big Band-Aid
Used to bandage to stop minor bleeding or protect large surfaces of damaged skin.
1.9 x 7.2 cm Band-aid
Used to bandage to stop minor bleeding or protect damaged skin.
Children band aid
Used to bandage to stop minor bleeding or protect children’s damaged skin.
Fingertip band aid
Used to bandage to stop minor bleeding or protect damaged skin on fingers, toes, or other areas if needed.
Silk tape
Used to stick the gauze.
Bandage With 2 Hooks
Stretchy. Used to apply direct pressure to the bleeding. Used to stabilize the wound with a splint in case of fractures etc.
Alcohol Cotton Pad
Used to sterilize medical tools. Use to clean around the wound. Absolutely DO NOT use alcohol directly on open wounds.
Sodium Chloride Powder
Used to make diluted salt water to wash wounds. Note: you should mix according to the dosage written on the packaging.
Rescue blanket
Use to cover the victim in case of hypothermia. For example: just coming out of water, sudden temperature drop, etc.
Eye Patch
Used to cover and protect the injured eye. Note: You should wet the gauze bandage to help moisten the injured eye.
5 x 5 cm Gauze
A sterilized gauze that is applied to the wound before bandaging to stop the bleeding. Used to cover open wounds. Note that you should wet the gauze first to avoid the gauze sticking to the wound or blood seeping into the gauze.
7.5 x 7.5 cm Gauze
A sterilized gauze that isis applied to the wound before bandaging to stop the bleeding. Used to cover open wounds. Note: You should wet the gauze first to avoid the gauze sticking to the wound or blood seeping into the gauze.
10 x 10 cm Gauze
A sterilized gauze that is applied to the wound before bandaging to stop the bleeding. Used to cover open wounds. Note: You should wet the gauze first to avoid the sterile gauze sticking to the wound or blood seeping into the gauze.
Medical Gloves
First aiders should wear gloves to protect themselves and avoid touching fluids, blood, etc. of the victim.
Scissors
Used to cut the victim’s clothes to help reveal the wound so that first aid is more convenient.
CPR Face Shield
Mask with a one-way valve used for rescue breathing when performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Masks help avoid direct contact with victims and avoid cross-contamination when performing first aid.
Sam Splint
Used to immobilize fractures.
Saline
Use to clean wounds or cool burned skin.
Tweezers
Used to remove ticks, insects, or small fragments.
Cold Pack
Used to relieve pain and reduce bleeding. Note: You should wrap the cold pack in a layer of towel first to avoid applying ice directly to the wound.
Medicine Bag
Used to store medicine for common illnesses such as fever, painkillers, etc. Note: In first aid do not use medicine, especially painkillers, because it will mask the signs of other internal damages.
Garbage bag
Used to contain waste after first aid, or used to cover large burns, etc.
